GNDVI (Green Normalized Difference Vegetation Index)

More sensitive to chlorophyll concentration than standard NDVI.

GNDVI replaces the red band with the green band in the NDVI formula: GNDVI = (NIR - Green) / (NIR + Green). This makes it more sensitive to chlorophyll content and useful for assessing nitrogen status in crops.

GNDVI is particularly effective for detecting nitrogen deficiency and can be used to create variable-rate application maps for fertilizer. It complements NDVI by providing additional information about crop nutrient status.
