Soil Analysis

Laboratory testing of soil samples to determine nutrient content, pH, and physical properties.

Soil analysis involves collecting and testing soil samples to measure key parameters: pH, macronutrients (nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium), micronutrients (calcium, magnesium, sulfur), organic matter content, and soil texture. Results guide fertilization decisions and identify deficiencies.

In Germany, soil testing is required at least every 6 years under the Düngeverordnung. Results must be documented and used to calculate fertilizer application plans. Modern precision farming combines lab results with satellite data for more targeted management.

How Messier76 Uses This

Messier76's Soil module stores your soil test results, tracks trends over time, and combines them with satellite data for comprehensive field assessments.
